Susan E. Bamann, Ph. D., Senior Archaeologist, is a graduate of the University at Albany(SUNY) and a Registered Professional Archaeologist. Dr. Bamann specializes in Native American archaeology and has specific interests in precontact settlement change as well as ceramic and lithic analysis. She has completed data recovery excavations at an Archaic period site (31WK223) in western North Carolina, a Woodland period site (31ED333) in eastern North Carolina and an early 19th-century domestic site in York County, Virginia.
