EDEN HOUSE - This study involved the recordation of 590 features associated with a late seventeenth and early eighteenth century settlement. The excavation is thought to be the second oldest excavated colonial site in the state, and one of the most important archaeological sites on the North Carolina Coastal Plain. For this work, the firm is the 1999 winner of the Federal Highway Administration's Award for Environmental Excellence. |
