CCR conducted data recovery excavations at a domestic site (ca.1790-1820) associated with a York River VA plantation. The majority of the ceramics recovered are classified as colonoware, which is a low-fired earthenware that has been associated with sites occupied by enslaved African Americans. Some evidence suggests that the colonoware ceramics were made at the site. |
