Coastal Carolina Research, Inc. has been in business for nineteen years.  It is a woman-owned firm which is DBE certified by several states including North Carolina.  Since its founding in 1988, CCR has completed over 500 research projects, most requiring compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.  CCR employees 15 permanent staff, including five archaeologists, two architectural historians, a historian and GIS experts.  The main office is in Tarboro, NC and a branch office is in Petersburg, VA.  CCR has conducted extensive cultural resources investigations for projects in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, West Virginia, Delaware and Tennessee.
